Ashton Kutcher

Ashton Kutcher was born and raised in Homestead, Iowa (pop. 100), where he lived on a farm with his parents, older sister and twin brother. To finance the cost of his education as a bio-chemical engineer at the University of Iowa, Kutcher worked as a cereal dust sweeper at the General Mills plant in Cedar Rapids. After being discovered by a local model/talent scout, he moved to New York to pursue acting. Upon his arrival in New York in August 1997, Kutcher landed roles in a national Pizza Hut commercial, a New York University student film entitled "Distance" and a Calvin Klein Jeans campaign.Kutcher is set to star in a series of high profile feature film projects over the next year. These include: “Elizabethtown” opposite Kirsten Dunst and Jane Fonda for director Cameron Crowe; “The Dinner Party” opposite Bernie Mac (which Kutcher will also produce); and “The Woods” opposite Joaquin Phoenix for director M. Night Shyamalan. He also stars in “My Boss’s Daughter,” (which he also produced), as well as the psychological thriller “The Butterfly Effect,” scheduled for release early next year. In addition to starring in “Effect,” he also serves as executive producer. Kutcher will also appear in the film “Cheaper By the Dozen” scheduled for release this December. His additional film credits include the romantic comedy “Just Married,” “Dude, Where’s My Car?,” “Texas Rangers” and “Reindeer Games."In addition to all his film work, Kutcher stars and executive produces the hit television series “Punk’d” for MTV.He lives in Los Angeles.
