Six diaper bags sold at stores nationwide were found to contain high levels of lead.

The Center for Environmental Health tested about 60 bags, and six styles were found to have lead levels at more than eight times the federal standard.

Three of the bags that high lead levels in the changing pad were from Kmart, including a Disney Baby Winnie the Pooh bag, a leopard print bag and a Baby Necessities-brand bag.

A fourth George store-brand bag from Wal-Mart also had high lead in the changing pad.

Mimi Maternity's "Red"-brand bag, and Carter's "Out 'N' About" bag from Babies 'R' Us also had high lead levels in other parts of the bag.

The center is pursuing legal action against the makers of the bags under California's Proposition 65 consumer protection law.

Lead-tainted products are only harmful if they're ingested.
