    Man Accused Of Stealing Car

    ELK GROVE, Calif. -- Police searched an Elk Grove neighborhood Tuesday for a man accused of stealing a car, but no arrest was made.

    Authorities said they tried to pull a four-door vehicle over shortly before 7 a.m., but the driver stopped the car and fled on foot along Elk Grove Boulevard just west of Franklin Boulevard.

    Police chased the man into a nearby residential neighborhood near Valley Hi Country Club. The search centered along Castleview Drive.

    Officers brought in at least one police dog and looked for a white man last seen wearing khaki pants and a white shirt. He had a shaved head.
