JAMESTOWN, Calif. -- Shoeprints led police to quickly arrest two teenagers on suspicion of burglary in Jamestown over the weekend, the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office said.Police received a call of a break-in at Condor Earth Technologies at 17857 High School Road shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday. At 4:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to another burglary at a home nearby on the same road. Thieves had moved a ladder and stolen a bicycle, a chainsaw and a toolbox worth a total of $775, Lt. Dan Bressler said. While deputies were there, a neighbor walked up to report burglaries of a storage shed and vehicles. As police talked to victims, Deputy Paul Speers and a California Highway Patrol officer found two teenagers covered in dirt nearby at the C&C Mini Mart. One of them had a bicycle.Speers matched the shoeprints left in the burglarized business with the bottom of the suspects' shoes and came to the conclusion that they were possibly responsible for the robberies. One of the suspects was identified as 18-year-old Richard Rodriguez. The second suspect name was withheld because he is 17.All the stolen items were recovered.
