SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Oak Park resident Robert Drumgoole may launch a bid for Sacramento mayor.Six candidates are currently running against incumbent Mayor Heather Fargo, who is seeking a third term.A city official said Drumgoole, 50, took out papers Friday to be a write-in candidate.Drumgoole must collect 20 signatures and fill out paperwork by May 20. If he is successful, voters will be able to write in his name on the ballot.His name will not appear on the ballot.Drumgoole said that on Jan. 1, 2006, a tree fell on his First Avenue home during a storm. He said he got no help from City Hall.The land is now an empty lot with just a garage. He is how living in a rental on 27th Street.He said he had insurance, but did not get enough money to rebuild.Others running for mayor are Kevin Johnson, Adam Daniel, Richard Jones, Shawn Eldredge, Leonard Padilla and Muriel Strand.
