Alzheimer's Aid Society Memorial 5k

KCRA 3 and KQCA My58 TV are sponsors of the Alzheimer's Aid Society Memorial 5k.

Brief Description: Perhaps the most unique event you will enter this year. Our 1st Annual Alzheimer's Aid Society Memorial 5k Run/Walk and 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile kids' fun runs start and finish at the highest point in the City of Sacramento -- in beautiful East Lawn Memorial Park in East Sacramento.

Prices:
  • 5k - $25.00
  • Kids' 1/2 Mile - $16.00
  • Kid's 1/4 Mile - $16.00

    Time:
  • Race-Day Registration: 7 a.m.
  • Kids' ¼ Mile (ages 5 and under): 8:10 a.m.
  • Kids' ½ Mile (ages 6-8): 8:15 a.m.
  • Kids' ½ Mile (ages 9-10): 8:20 a.m.
  • 5k Run/Walk: 8:30 a.m.

    Online Registration Closes: July 22, 2008, at 11:59 p.m.

    Packet Pickup: You may pick up your race packet from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Fleet Feet Sports (2311 J Street, Sacramento) on Friday, July 25.

    Course: One of the fastest and scenic 5k courses you will ever run. Starting and finishing in East Lawn Memorial Park, our route traipses through the Fabulous Forties neighborhood on M Street before returning to the Park for one gorgeous, final-mile loop to the finish at the highest point in Sacramento.

    Features: Custom T-shirt, refreshments, music, awards, random prizes, ChampionChip Computerized Timing.

    Age Divisions:
  • 12 & Under
  • 13-15
  • 16-18
  • 19-24, 5 year increments to 80+

    Awards: Awards ceremony to follow event at 9:45am. Prizes for overall winners and top three finishers in each age division. All kids in the Kids' Fun Runs receive medals. First place boy and girl in each race receive plaques.
