Healthy Kids

The 2007 Project Healthy Kids Camp was held at Basketball Town on August 13 & 14. The primary goal of the camp was to teach kids and their parents about the importance of exercise, healthy eating, and living a healthy lifestyle. More than 50 kids and their parents attended the two day camp and participated in stretching exercises, basketball activities, gymnastics, rock climbing, and rope jumping. They were taught how to make a healthy lunch, were treated to healthy snacks, and participated in a Farmer's Market thanks to Save Mart. Parents also received valuable information about nutrition and the importance of physical activity for their children.

At the end of the two day camp kids received a Project Healthy Kids Graduation Certificate. They left with a new understanding of what it takes and what they must do in order to lead a positive, healthy lifestyle.
