BONE MARROW DRIVES

Iraq War Veteran Needs Bone Marrow Match

Drives Going On Today

A veteran of the Iraq war is fighting the battle of his life -- leukemia.

Matt Bumpus, a 31-year old veteran who served as a staff sergeant in the army for nearly nine years, is in need of a bone marrow transplant.

Bumpus' family is searching for a marrow match.

You can help Bumpus by attending one of the drives listed below, or by registering with the National Bone Marrow Registry.

The drive will be held at numerous locations on Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • News10 Studio, 400 Broadway in Sacramento
  • Wackford Aquatic Center, Valley Oak Ball Room, 9014 Bruceville Road in Elk Grove
  • Roseville Sports Center, 1545 Pleasant Grove Blvd. in Roseville
  • Oakdale Community Center, 110 South Second Ave. in Oakdale
