Tip: Baking Soda

Store baking soda in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months, or longer if stored in an airtight container. To test for freshness, stir ¼ teaspoon baking soda into 2 teaspoons vinegar; bubbles indicate that the baking soda is still active.
