2 Accused Of Stockton Burglaries

Youths Found Carrying Stolen Items, Police Say

A man and a teenager were arrested on suspicion of several burglaries in Stockton on Thursday, San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said.

Police said Elmer Villanueva, 20, and a 17-year-old boy were found at 5 p.m. burglarizing a residence in the 1900 block of West Elmwood Avenue in Stockton.

The 17-year-old, who was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center, was not identified because of his age.

One hour before the arrest, police said the pair allegedly attempted burglaries two blocks away, in the 1800 block of West Elmwood Avenue and the 2000 block Of Michigan Avenue.

Villanueva was later booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.

Deputies said the duo also allegedly completed a burglary in the 2000 block of West Country Club Boulevard and held stolen items when they were arrested.
