WOW! What an amazing year. I dont even know where to begin to write my final blog. Not too mention, i wish i wasnt writing a final blog lol. Lets start from the beginning.

I was so amazed at how many people stood behind me and voted for me day after day while the host hunt was going on. I have always enjoyed being in front of the camera, and have wanted to be a regular TV personality for quite some time, and everyone out there that voted for me helped to make my dreams a reality. I am very grateful for this, and i will never forget the support everyone has given me. I really want to thank my dad. Even though my dad has not always been been around, he really came through for me on this and supported me 110%. I would also like to give a special thanks to my good friends Matt, Troy, Thep, Joe for all there help and support threw the host hunt and my year with My58. I would like to thank our fans for watching and coming out to all our events. It was a pleasure being your host and meeting all of you. I would also like to thanks Everyone at My58 for this opportunity and all the support that was given to us. Its nice to feel like a Rockstar every now and then ;-) I really feel like i am apart of a family at My58.

A few memories i would like to touch on. The IFL Lions in Reno was my most memorable My58 Garage Cinema. Getting to meet and interview Ken SHamrock was amazing. Having the opportunity to see Kelly meet her favorite basketball player, The Sacramento Monarchs Kara Lawson, was awesome. Getting to host the Sacramento Concerts in the Park was great too. There are so many memories that will never be forgotten in my one year with My58. Thanks you so much for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Special thanks to me wonderful Co-host Kelly. I cant believe this is over. Kelly, it seems like it was just yesterday we were eating at that place in Sac, talking about what we were going to be doing for the next year as My58 hosts. Everyday that we worked together was like magic to me. Our chemistry was amazing and we work so well together. I will never forget the episodes of My58 Garage Cinema that were filmed in your garage. I think we learned a lot from each other over this last year, and i am glad we got to know each other so well. I would like to thank you for working with me, and thank you and Marcy for allowing me to stay a few nights in your home. Marcy you ROCK! I will miss you. I really hope we continue to stay family Kelly. I couldnt have had a better host to work with.

Anthony ans Shannon, i know you will have a great year. Have tons of fun! I will hopefully be continuing my TV career and would love to keep in touch with everyone at My58, and all the viewers as well. I will keep everyone updated on whats going on in the crazy life i lead. ITS BEEN REAL.

I still have not sold my house, and I'm starting to panic, LOL! I already bought another new house, which has now closed escrow and is officially mine. So I now have two houses and two mortgage payments. The crappy thing is that I can't move into my new house until I sell this one. That is like a little kid starring at a candy bar on the counter that he cant eat!.... Kinda ;-).

If I were to move in it just wouldn't sell as easily if it didn't have some furniture in it (not like its selling fast now, LOL). Also, when people see a vacant house, they are more likely to low-ball on the offer because they are assuming it is a must sell. Well, it is a must sell, but I have to work the angles as long as I can afford it. If anyone out there is interested in moving to Turlock, and living in a home that was occupied by a legend, come on by. In the words of The Godfather him self, "I'M GUNNA MAKE YOU AN OFFER YOU CAN'T REFUSE!"

My girlfriend moved in with me. That is a little scary if you think about it. I mean we have only known each other for a month! Ah, Just kidding, LOL. We have known each other since high school (good old Gustine), and we have been dating for about three years ... with one small break in there somewhere ;-).

She is a great girl, which is why I'm even considering this whole moving in thing. I mean this is a big deal! "It's one small step for man, and one giant step for Travis Ross" ;-). I'm sure it will work out... I think.

Ladies and gentlemen ... Put your cell phones on vibrate, and the kids to sleep! Its time for THE SHREWD GUY MOVIE REVIEWS!

This week's movie is a movie that I have been waiting to see since I heard that they were making it. "Transformers," directed by Michael Bay.

Let me start by saying that I was a huge fan of Transformers when I was a kid. I was a regular viewer, and I had almost all the toys! I'm not going to lie, when I saw the trailer for this movie, I knew I was going to enjoy it, so in a sense this is a totally biased review. But you know what ... it doesn't matter because it's my review, and I can be bias if I want ;-). Let's get started.

Michael Bay has done movies like "The Island," "Bad Boys 2," and "Pearl Harbor." Overall, I have admired his work despite what some have said about him. I was really curious as to what kind of storyline was going to be used to let your mind think that this isn't too far-fetched. I like how the movie stuck close to the idea of the cartoon.

So, there is this cube that is lost in space that has the ability to put a spark of life into whatever it comes into contact with that is a non-living organism, like a soda machine, for example. Well, as you can imagine, that cube in the wrong hands could be very dangerous. Well, turns out many, many years ago it was caught by Earth's orbit and it crashed on Earth.

Since that time both the good and the evil forces of the Transformers known as the Autobots (GOOD), and the Decepticons (EVIL), have been searching the galaxy to find the cube known as the All Spark. The Transformers' search brings them to Earth where the Decepticons discover that a man holds the information to the whereabouts of the cube and the fun begins. The Autobots are trying to get the cube before the Decepticons do, and protect the human race as well. The action sequences are the best I have seen thus far in a CGI film of this caliber. Even a lot of the camera angles are very intense. And when the Transformers transform ... talk about a rush! I was very impressed. I also have to hand it to Michael bay on his choice of female actors. WOW!!! Megan Fox is gorgeous. The movie could have been about a rose bush and I would have still enjoyed it. And Rachael Taylor ... WOW! Two very HOTT girls that did a good job being HOTT in this movie.

Since this is an action-packed film with sci-fi twisted together, were are going to call it an "ACTFICTION." The entertainment rating without a doubt is "GO WATCH IT!" The appeal to women rating is, "SHE MIGHT COMPLAIN," and the babe count is "VERY NICE." Thank you for being a part of The Shrewed Guy Movie Reviews. If you have a movie that you would like me to review, shoot us an e-mail and I'll think about it ;-)

These ratings are my just my opinions and they are based solely on entertainment value. There are no 10's because nothing is perfect. The ratings are as follows:

Entertainment

9 - "GO WATCH IT!"
7 - "ITS COOL"
4 - "EH, NOT BAD"
1 - "SUCKED!"

Appeal To Women

9 - "DARN CHICK FLICK!"
7 - "SHE'LL BE SATISFIED"
4 - "SHE MIGHT COMPLAIN"
1 - "DUDE, YOU BROUGHT A GIRL TO THIS?"

Babe Count

9 - "T & A ALL THE WAY!"
7 - "VERY NICE"
4 - "I THINK I SEE ONE!"
1 - "WHAT GIRLS?"

Thursday, July 5 - 8:54 a.m.

I went and saw "Transformers" at midnight on Tuesday and let me tell ya ... THAT MOVIE IS AWESOME! It gave me the chills. I will be giving it a full review later this week on The Shrewd Guy Movie Reviews. I just wanted to plant a little bug in everyone's head in the meantime to go watch it ;-).

Today I have to stain a fence, mow my lawn, build a sprinkler system, fertilize, get a report, etc. This is one of those days that I have to get too much done and there can't possibly be enough time in one day, so I'm going to cut this one short and GET R DUN ;-).

Have a great day.

TTYL,
Travis

Tuesday, July 3 - 2:33 p.m.

It was very nice to meet everyone who came to the first week's My58 Host Hunt casting calls. There was such a wide range of ages, demographics, shapes, and personalities. I'm not going to lie, some of you kind of scared me ;-).

I hope the audition process was fun and I hope everyone did a good job. I know while I was sitting in on the meetings, they were talking about a lot of people that really had what it takes, so it's going to be very challenging to narrow it down to 12 finalists.

I'm still trying to find a loophole some where that will let us stay as hosts. If I don't find anything, I'll probably just chain myself to something at the station, like the My58 Garage Cinema set. For those of you that have your casting call this coming weekend, if you have any questions, shoot me an e-mail and I will do my best to answer it.

Good Luck!
Travis

Friday, June 29 - 9:30 a.m.

It's kind of annoying how everyone thinks they are an Ultimate Fighter now. I was out at a few clubs this weekend, and there were so many punks that think they are tough, I couldn't believe it, LOL. I watched people walk around and try and start fights with other people. They were throwing elbows and shoulders into people, and doggin' everyone. Don't get me wrong, I love to watch some Ultimate Fighter or some IFL Battleground, but let's leave that in the ring and have a good time while we are out in public. I have some martial arts experience, but I am not a fighter. I would rather try and talk something out than for it to go to blows. Sometimes, there is nothing you can do about it, though. These days, with all the people out there that think they are Ultimate Fighters, you have to be prepared for anything. Be careful out there ... apparently it's not a jungle, it's an octagon now, LOL.

I was sitting in D'Anne's office the other day after a promo shoot for The Oakland Raiders preseason games on My58, when I realized that in October I won't be sitting in this office anymore. Reality is settling in that my year with My58 is coming to an end. It has been such a good time working and meeting everyone that works at the station. I wish there was a way for me to stay on with My58. It's one thing to be doing what you are passionate about, but its another story when you are doing something that you are passionate about and love the people you work with. I would take that over making more money at a normal job any day.

Wednesday, June 27 - 11:37 a.m.

A few months back, one of my best friends, let me rephrase that, my best friend ditched me for a girl.

I'm not talking about just didn't hang out with me for a night, I'm talking about totally cut me out of his life. This girl and I had differences with each other, and she forbid him to talk to me, or see me anymore (in a roundabout way). The crappy thing is this girl was also one of my close friends, too. I had known her for seven years before this happened. She is very dominating and has to have things her way in a relationship, and my friend that she is with now is the type of guy who gets taken advantage of, so you see the problem here.

I know, you probably didn't think of Travis being a softy, but I love my friends like family, and when something like this happens, it really hurts. I never would have thought this would happen.

I actually saw my ex-best friend the other day at an open gym for volleyball. It isn't the usual gym we used to go to. He isn't allowed to come to the usual one anymore apparently. It was nice to see him, but it was kinda awkward, too. I thought I would have been happier, but it kinda made me realize that this guy totally ditched me!

It sucks, but life goes on and I will still be there for him as a friend if he ever needs one.

TTYL,
Travis

I feel like i know you all well enough to make a confession. It's time to admit, I have a "Thing." I know, its kinda weird or whatever, but it's true!

OK, so ... every day that I have a My58 shoot, I have to do something before I can perform. And that thing that I have to do is my "Thing." Here goes ... I have to drink a whole liter of Coke! I know what you're thinking ... what a weirdo ... it's true. The weird part is that I don't even normally drink caffeine. I quit drinking soda in high school. It all started when I was on some medication that was prescribed to me under the circumstance that I do not drink any alcohol. Not that I'm a raging alcoholic or anything, but I like to throw a few back on the weekends. So, when the doc told me I couldnt drink anymore, I decided to drink soda on the weekends (crazy guy, right? LOL). Well, one day I drank a soda before a shoot, and for some reason it helped my memorization. Now, every time before I shoot, I drink a Coke ;-). Hopefully someone from Coca-Cola will read this and sponsor me or something, LOL.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN ... The moment you have all been waiting for ... it's The Shrewd Guy Movie Reviews ;-)

Look, I know everyone out there can't wait till the next movie reviews come out, but one a week is my limit. I can't go spoiling everyone, LOL. Let's get started!

This week's movie is "Knocked Up", starring Katherine Heigl, who is HOTT even pregnant, and Seth Rogen. This movie is hilarious! A lot of all-around good fun. Most of the humor is from the characters bagging on each other, which I think is pretty funny. Definitely not suitable for some younger ages, and old folks might realize how old they are while watching this movie, but everyone in between should have a great time!

The story line is pretty predictable. Obviously the chick gets knocked up, but it's by a very lucky, unattractive, lazy pothead. She keeps it because she doesn't want to get a "shma-shmor-shan," (watch the movie if you can't figure out what that is) and the fun begins. They decide to try and make things work between them, but it gets a little difficult when you throw two opposites together and some hormones in the mix. I must say, there is a lot to relate to in this film by both men and women. Surprisingly, they manage to take a romance story and turn it into an excellent comedy. I would say that it is very consistent comedy. There were a few moments where it gets serious and I got a little scared that it would ruin the comedy, but then it's back to the comedy and it's pretty much throughout the movie. The ONLY thing missing from this movie is one huge, absolutely hilarious moment. Like with Evan Baxter at the news station in "Bruce Almighty".

Since this is a comedy and a romance, we are going to call this a "COMANCE". The Entertainment rating is "GO WATCH IT!", the Appeal To Women rating is "SHE'LL BE SATISFIED", and the Babe Count is "VERY NICE!" Thank you for being a part of The Shrewd Guy Movie Reviews.

These ratings are just my opinions and they are based solely on entertainment value. There are no 10's because nothing is perfect. The ratings are as follows:

Entertainment

9 - "GO WATCH IT!"
7 - "ITS COOL"
4 - "EH, NOT BAD"
1 - "SUCKED!"

Appeal To Women

9 - "DARN CHICK FLICK!"

Its time for THE SHREWD GUY MOVIE REVIEWS!

Well, this week's movie is going to be one that is currently in the theaters. "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World End"!

Well! I must say I am a big fan of "Pirates of the Caribbean." This movie was good, but it keeps you waiting for something big to happen for about two thirds of the movie. There is a lot of storyline. This is the type of movie that you are going to need to watch a few times. I'm not generally one to say that, but this movie even had me a little confused at some points. There is a lot of different stories going on at the same time, and it seems like everyone in the movie crosses each other at least once, LOL. Oh, and Jack is hilarious ... that is ... Jack the monkey. He was in this film a lot more than the others. There is a lot of cool effects in the movie and the storyline takes your mind on a fantasy boat ride beyond life -- "At Worlds End." ;-)

The CGI, which stands for computer-generated imagery, in this film is great overall. I must say that Davy Jones looks a bit too fake in this film, though. It wasn't as noticeable in the second film, but for some reason he really stood out as fake for me in this one. That has a bad effect on me, because I really get into movies, but if something jumps out at me as too fake, then I have a hard time getting past that. Keira Knightley is smokin' HOTT and looks phenomenal in this movie, and we are probably going to get married someday. On a side note, the movie is VERY LONG! It doesnt go by fast, but anytime you're in a theater for three hours, it's going to be a little restless.

This movie has alot of action and adventure in it, so we are are going to put it under the "ACTVENTURE" category. I rate the movie as, "ITS COOL." The Appeal to Women is, "SHE MIGHT COMPLAIN", even though there is a love story tied into the mix. The Babe Count is "VERY NICE!" because I can watch any movie with Keira Knightley in it and love it!

These ratings are just my opinions and they are based soli on entertainment value. There are no 10's because nothing is perfect. The ratings are as follows:

Entertainment

9 - "GO WATCH IT!"
7 - "ITS COOL"
4 - "EH, NOT BAD"
1 - "SUCKED!"

Appeal To Women

9 - "DARN CHICK FLICK!"
7 - "SHE'LL BE SATISFIED"
4 - "SHE MIGHT COMPLAIN"
1 - "DUDE, YOU BROUGHT A GIRL TO THIS?"

Babe Count

7 - "VERY NICE"
4 - "I THINK I SEE ONE!"
1 - "WHAT GIRLS?"

What up ;-)

Hope everyone is doing well. I hope you all got a chance to check Kelly and me out on live TV. It was a blast. I really enjoy the My58 News From 7-9am, so it was a really treat to be on it. I think that for the next two hosts, it would be a good idea to have them on the morning show once a month. It would be great for them to go on and update people on what is coming up on My58 Garage Cinema and public appearances. What do you think?

Check out Kelly and me on the news!

My58 Seeks New Hosts

Thursday, June 14 - 1:22 p.m.

HI,

I'm watching this new show called "The Next Best Thing" right now, and WOW is it interesting. The show is scouting the country for look-alikes and impersonators of celebrities ... good ones. They just had this President Bush impersonator on, and it was the funniest thing ever! This guy was actually funnier, smarter, and better than the real one, LOL, J/K. Well, either way the show has a lot of entertainment value.

I would watch this over "American Idol" any day!

Thursday, June 14 - 9:56 a.m.

My dad came down last weekend to visit. I really think he just came down to play the Nintendo Wii, LOL. He loves that game. We played for hours. It's actually the first I've played in a long time. I bought Tiger Woods Golf for the Wii and still haven't played it. I heard it's really good, though. My dad's wife and my new stepbrother came too and they love it. It was getting pretty rowdy in here for a while. We actually had a rule that the losing team had to do pushups. I admit, I had to do a set of pushups. But it was only one set!

Wednesday, June 13 - 11:12 a.m.

I sold my truck last week. I'm kinda sad about selling it. I really didn't think it was going to be that big of a deal until I had to let it go. It happened all of a sudden, too. I really didn't think I was going to sell it as fast as I did. It just got to the point where it was just inconvenient to have it. I have two other vehicles, but I needed something that I can commute in and also has 4-wheel drive if I need it. My truck was just way too big to commute with, and hard to get around in too. The next vehicle I get will be nice too, though ;-)

ITS THAT TIME AGAIN!

And guess what ... I found a title. It's time for The Shrewd Guy Movie Reviews ;-)

This week, we are going to kick it old-school style. I'm on this whole "showing my range" kick, so I'm going to bring back an oldie, but goodie. This weeks review will be on "Ghostbusters."

This is seriously a great movie. It might not appeal to the next generations of kids because of how much movie technology has changed in the last 10 years, but if you are between the ages of 25 and 199 and you have not seen this movie, then you need to watch it. Even if you, yourself, are a 140-year-old ghost just floating around, make sure you go haunt a person's house who is watching this movie so you can check it out.

It certainly is a lot different watching it now then when I was a kid. I like the fact that its humorous, and it has a cool, unique storyline as well. I mean, they hunt ghosts for crying out loud, LOL. Also, Sigourney Weaver plays a very hot, ghoulish role.

So, basically the Ghostbusters set up shop to bust ghosts, and there are some compromises along the way, and Weaver actually becomes a supernatural being herself. In the end, all is restored, and everyone is covered in marshmallows. If you don't know why, then go watch the movie ;-)

For entertainmen, I rate it, "GO WATCH IT!," for Appeal To Women, I rate it, "SHE MIGHT COMPLAIN," although it does have a few love stories tied in it. And thanks to Sigourney Weaver, the Babe Count is "I THINK I SEE ONE?!?!", Otherwise it would be "WHAT GIRLS???." Thanks for being a part of The Shrewd Guy Movie reviews. Not that you care, but now you know ;-)

These ratings are my just my opinions and they are based solely on entertainment value. There are no 10's because nothing is perfect. The ratings are as follows:

7 - "ITS COOL"
4 - "EH, NOT BAD"

7 - "VERY NICE"
4 - "I THINK I SEE ONE!"
1 - "WHAT GIRLS?"

Memorial Day weekend was GREAT! I didn't get to go to the lake, but I did go to the beach. The weather was great, too. The sun was actually out in Santa Cruz. We didn't go to the Boardwalk. I don't like the Boardwalk. It's too, too ... eh. I am a little disappointed that I didn't go to the Lake. I didn't go once last year, so I was hoping to go at least one more time than last year. I would like to get a boat eventually. Maybe that will help me get to the lake more often ;-)

Tuesday, May 29 - 11:20 a.m.

I shot this last Sunday's My58 Garage Cinema by myself, If I had to sum it up in 1 word i would say it was "quiet," LOL.

Not that Kelly is loud or anything, but when you put both of us in the same room together, there is going to be some commotion. We have such a great time together shooting for My58, and every day that we shoot is just a bunch of laughs. I did miss my my co-host this last week. It really is the funnest job i have ever had. Kelly will be back for this Sunday's My58 Garage Cinema.

ITS MOVIE REVIEW TIME!!!

I need a catchy title for my movie reviews! If you have any ideas, shoot me an e-mail. This week's review is on "Because I Said So" starring Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore.

I know what you are thinking.... WHY WOULD I REVIEW THIS MOVIE?" Well, my girlfriend wanted to watch it, and I thought it would be different to review. Shows my range ;-).

Let's get started!

I didn't like it, LOL. I can handle chick flicks, but this movie is on a whole other level. It's kind of a mother-daughter movie. I don't even think this would be a good movie to watch at a slumber party with all girls. So, the story line is about how Keaton is Moore's mother and she is REALLY involved with all of her daughters' lives, but Moore is one of those girls that just can't get a guy to really like her for anything but wanting to get a piece. Her mother actually puts an ad in the paper behind Moore's back and interviews a bunch of guys to see if she can find the right guy for her.

Well, turns out that two guys become interested, and the fiasco begins. Moore ends up finding out about the ad and gets all flustered. If you want to know the rest, you'll just have to watch it because I'm tired of talking about it, LOL.

I review and rate movies according to my preferences and what is important to me in a movie. This movie is definitely a chick flick, and even deeper a mother-daughter flick, so we'll call it a Mother Chick Flick. The entertainment rating is "EH, NOT BAD," the appeal to women is "DARN CHICK FLICK!", and the babe count is "I THINK I SEE ONE!?!?"

These ratings are my just my opinions and they are based solely on entertainment value. There are no 10's because nothing is perfect. The ratings are as follows:

Entertainment 9 - "GO WATCH IT!" 7 - "ITS COOL" 4 - "EH, NOT BAD" 1 - "SUCKED!"

Appeal To Women 9 - "DARN CHICK FLICK!" 7 - "SHE'LL BE SATISFIED" 4 - "SHE MITE COMPLAIN" 1 - "DUDE, YOU BROUGHT A GIRL TO THIS?"

Babe Count 9 - "T & A ALL THE WAY!" 7 - "VERY NICE" 4 - "I THINK I SEE ONE?!?!" 1 - "WHAT GIRLS???"

Thursday, May 24 - 8:15 p.m.

It's movie review time! I need to come up with a catchy name for my movie review segment. Let me know if anyone has any ideas. This week I will be reviewing, "Deja Vu" starring Denzel Washington. First of all let me get this out of the way; Paula Patton... WOW! Major hottie! In the beginning pf the film Paula is dead and burnt... And she is still gorgeous. I was sad because I thought that she was dead so she wasn't going to be in the rest of the film. But The crazy twist in this film is that you actually get to see the events leading up to the tragedy that kills hundreds of people. This "insight" they have that shows them the past actually helps them find the killer, and how it happened. For me it challenges my believability. Lets just say there is a little sci-fi involved here. The way they see in the past is a bit too far-fetched for me, but the movie is very entertaining and has alot of good content. I review and rate movies according to my preferences and what is important to me in a movie. Due to the action and thriller content we are going to classify this one as a "thraction" film. The entertainment rating is "GO WATCH IT", The Chick Appeal is "She'll Be Satisfied," and the babe count due to Paula alone is "VERY NICE".

Appeal To Women 9 - "DAMN CHICK FLICK!" 7 - "SHE'LL BE SATISFIED" 4 - "SHE MITE COMPLAIN" 1 - "DUDE, YOU BROUGHT A GIRL TO THIS?"

Babe Count 9 - "T & A ALL THE WAY!" 7 - "VERY NICE" 4 - "I THINK I SEE ONE?!?!" 1 - "WHAT GIRLS???"

Wednesday, May 23 - 7:56 p.m.

My Dad bought a new car! I know what most of you are probably thinking, everyone buys a new car every once and a while. Well, my dad is a great guy, but he has had it a little rough throughout his life. My parents split up when I was 8 years old and I only saw him off and on for most of my life, but that's because most of the time he was trying to make ends meet. He went back to school and graduated from college, but it didn't really help in his career choice, unfortunately. He got remarried and divorced a few more times, but I think the woman he married this time is a keeper. She is great. His life has finally started coming together within the last three years. And now he his completely stable and he was able to buy a new car. A Mercedes at that ;-)

A good friend of mine is moving to UTAH for a job. It's cool, because I can understand that it is a better opportunity for her. She is a radio DJ for a station in the valley. I guess the area in Salt Lake City that she would be covering is bigger and that is the ultimate goal of radio -- to be heard my as many people as possible. I thought about getting into radio. I like how you can put your own personality in the mix. I just didn't like the lack of face-to-face contact with people and fans. I'm going to miss her ;-)

It's movie review time! I need to come up with a catchy name for my movie review segment. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.

This week I will be reviewing "Deja Vu," starring Denzel Washington. First of all, let me get this out of the way; Paula Patton ... WOW! Major hottie! In the beginning pf the film Paula is dead and burned ... and she is still gorgeous. I was sad because I thought that she was dead, so she wasn't going to be in the rest of the film. But the crazy twist in this film is that you actually get to see the events leading up to the tragedy that kills hundreds of people. This "insight" they have that shows them the past actually helps them find the killer, and how it happened. For me, it challenges my believability. Let's just say there is a little sci-fi involved here. The way they see in the past is a bit too far-fetched for me, but the movie is very entertaining and has a lot of good content. I review and rate movies according to my preferences and what is important to me in a movie.

Due to the action and thriller content, we are going to classify this one as a "thraction" film. The entertainment rating is "GO WATCH IT," The chick appeal is "SHE'LL BE SATISFIED," and the babe count, due to Paula alone, is "VERY NICE."

These ratings are my just my opinions and they are based solely on entertainment value. There are no 10's, because nothing is perfect. The ratings are as follows:

Entertainment

9 - "GO WATCH IT!"
7 - "ITS COOL"
4 - "EH, NOT BAD"
1 - "SUCKED!"

Appeal To Women

9 - "DARN CHICK FLICK!"
7 - "SHE'LL BE SATISFIED"
4 - "SHE MIGHT COMPLAIN"
1 - "DUDE, YOU BROUGHT A GIRL TO THIS?"

Babe Count

9 - "T & A ALL THE WAY!"
7 - "VERY NICE"
4 - "I THINK I SEE ONE!"
1 - "WHAT GIRLS?"

Wednesday, May 9 - 9:56 a.m.

I went to see my dad over the weekend. He lives in Santa Clara. Santa Clara is really picturesque. His birthday was in April, so my brother and I took a trip up there. Its a two-hour car ride to get there from where I live. It was nice to see him, though. He recently was remarried, and I got to meet my new stepbrother for the first time this past weekend. He is a cool guy. He just moved here from China. He was actually following the Host Hunt and had all his friends voting for me in China, LOL. What a good stepbrother. We are going to have to show him how cool California is. ;-)

WOW! What a great past weekend. Friday Night Concerts in the Park was awesome. The weather was great, the food was good and oh, I almost forgot, we got a parking ticket, LOL. I rode up with Jay, and we parked in a spot we thought was OK to park in. After all, we did have a parking pass.

We actually shot an episode of the My58 Garage Cinema during the show. It was a great turnout. That was my first time attending Sacramento's Concerts in the Park. The bands were great. I am looking forward to going again. Hopefully I will see you there.

P.S. Watch where you park ;-)

MOVIE REVIEW!

This week I decided to do my movie review on "Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj." Overall, it was OK. I need to get a rating system down. What i can tell you is I rate movies purely on entertainment. If it can keep me entertained, whether its "The Notebook," or "Spider-Man," then it will get a good review by me. One thing I can say is that i dint like when companies sometime try and do things that were done in the first film in the sequel. For example, the first time around, Taj is trying to "do stuff" with a girl and his back catches on fire, and he yells, "You Make me so ... HOT!" Well, in the sequel, Taj puts hot sauce in a certain place because this girl has a "thing" for hot sauce, so it burns him, and he yells, "It's so... HOT!"

What do you know....

There are a few scenes like that in the sequel that just dint seem original because they did them already in the first film. But overall there are some funny parts, and there are some beautiful girls. This movie, due to the hot girls and the comedy, classifies as a "Hot Girl-medy."

Next time, we will settle on a scale to rate these movies on.

Festival de la Familia was awesome! I met soooo many cool people. That was actually my first time attending the event, but I will definitely be there next year. I think I should take my mom next year. She is Nicaraguan, and I know she would love it. I would need to be careful though, because she is the only person on this Earth that can manage to embarrass me somehow, LOL. We had such a good location - right in front of the stage and still under the coverings. We were having a drawing for a nice HD TV. My58 and KCRA are very generous!

The music was fantastic, and the tacos were great.

There were also some Aztec tribal dancers in there outfits that looked amazing.

Asparagus Festival!

Hey, hope everyone made it out to the Stockton Asparagus Festival this last weekend. The weather was perfect. It was actually a little too warm on Friday, LOL.

We had a nice big tent set up by the water and under some trees, so it was very cool under the tent. There was a slight breeze coming through periodically too, so that helped. The highlight for me was this asparagus burrito. YUM! Wish I had another one.

Well, it was nice to meet everyone, and for those of you that I haven't met yet, I would like to meet you too. Kelly and I will be hosting the Friday Night Concerts in the Park in downtown Sacramento starting this Friday, so come on out!

"Smokin Aces" is a GREAT MOVIE! It is exciting, action-packed, and it has a little twist on the end of it. Every1 is after a drug-abusing Ari from "Entourage." Only in this movie, he isn't some talent agent. He is an entertainer in Las Vegas that decides his life isn't exciting enough, so he tries to make more money by doing some Mob jobs. Boy, does he get caught up. Because of the action and twist at the end, we'll call it a "twiction" movie!

WOW! I just came back from a big commercial shoot in San Francisco. It was the longest shoot I have ever been on. It was a total of five days of shooting, four of which I was used on. I can't say tooooo much about it, but I can tell you that it was for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game coming up, and it was awesome! I got to meet Barry Bonds and Barry Zito. It was also cool to be behind the scenes on the stunt scenes.

AMAZING! It will be on national TV in June, so look for it.

I had a reality check this past week. I actually had kind of a falling out with a really good friend of mine. I tried everything I could do to communicate about the situation, but what it all comes down to is, "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."

I always try to be a good friend to people and consider myself a good listener, but some things are just beyond my control. I am sure most of everyone out there has had the same feeling before as well...

Thanks for listening,
Travis

Monday, April 23 - 4:08 p.m.

I have decided that since I watch sooo many movies, and we are all movie critics, I am going to give free movie reviews once a week. Yay! They are not all going to be new movies, they are not all going to be mainstream. I am going to try and come up with a creative way to rate them, too.

So, for my first movie, I wanted to watch something fresh, something exciting ... something! OK, this weekend I watched "Dumb and Dumber," LOL. "Samsonite! I was way off," LOL. Got to love this film. Definitely a stupid funny film which we are going to call ... well since its more funny than stupid ... we'll call it a funpid film ;-)

Definitely a classic, highly recommended if you are into funpid-type movies.

T-REX OUT

Friday, April 12 - 9:37 a.m.

I got a ticket this last weekend for not having a front license plate. I wasn't even driving the car at the time.

It was parked downtown, minding its own business. You would think that is would at least be a fix-it ticket, but no. I have to pay the fine. New cars are made without the mounting brackets for a front license plate. If it is a law, then shouldn't cars be made with the mounts?

EASTER!

Yeah, I miss being a little kid, running around finding Easter eggs, LOL. I'm kind of in that in-between area where I am too old to hunt for the Easter eggs, but I am too young to have the wife and kids to hide the eggs for. I don't have much family, so Easter is pretty quiet for me. My brother came and hung out with me, though. That is always nice!

Season 3 of "Entourage" came out on DVD finally. That is one show that I watch frequently. I have followed all the previous seasons which have tons of nice cars, big houses, fancy parties, and lets just say the scenery is nice! Not a bad life. I would imagine that a young star's life is pretty close to that. If you haven't seen "Entourage" before, I recommend checking it out.

I am so stoked about going to RPM speedway in Sacramento. We are doing a spotlight there soon and we are actually going to be able to race the go-carts.

These aren't ordinary go-carts. These babies FLY! I am going smoke Kelly lol ;-). I have raced these type of carts in Las Vegas and surprisingly there is a lot of technique involved. It's not just about keeping your foot pinned the whole time. Going into turns and coming out of them correctly will make or break you.

We ll see how things go...

Thursday, April 5 - 7:50 a.m.

I have been swamped with the yam business this Easter. I can say that in the last eight years that I have been selling yams, I have never been this busy.

The last three weeks leading up to Easter have been busy, busy, busy. I even ran out of the boxes that the yams are packed into. We ordered more boxes over a month ago, which is how long it takes for them to be made and shipped. We ended up selling out sooner than we anticipated. That was a big setback because I had to turn down orders that were placed. That is a tough situation to be in, because some of the customers I have been dealing with lately are big customers that I have been trying to sell to for seven years. I finally started selling to them and something like this happens. There are no contracts with yams. Any of my buyers can decide that they don't want to buy from me anymore, at any time.

Hopefully they come back to me when I have boxes again next week.

VOLLEYBALL!!!

Tuesday nights from 8 p.m. to midnight I am no longer Travis from My58 ... I am a volleyball player!

I know what you are thinking, "Volleyball isn't a men's sport!" I beg to differ. I play at a co-ed open gym in Turlock where there are over 30 solid athletes in attendance. We play on guys-height nets, 6 on 6. There are two regulation courts set up on these nights. Most of the women that come to play are college volleyball players looking to better their game by playing with very competitive volleyball soldiers, if you will. There are no hits called "spikes", only "KILLS." So if you are interested in a highly-competitive open gym action, stop by sometime ... school will be in session, LOL.

I had this crazy dream last night that I was flying in a video game! I mean, there was a screen in front of me, but I was sitting in this cockpit-like contraption and flying around in some type of commercial building. It was pretty intense because I almost hit the walls a few times.

Halfway through the dream I realized that I wasn't wearing my seat belt! I totally could have fallen out of this flying thing! That would have sucked. I probably would have woken up!

Wednesday, March 28 - 9:47 a.m.

I landed this big yam account the other day. Probably the best account I have ever had. Now I just have to make sure I hang onto them. It is one thing to sell to a company a few times, it's another to keep the business coming back. There are no contracts in the yam world, so it's every man for himself. If my buyers don't want to buy from me anymore, they just start buying from someone else, just like that!

Any ideas on how I can keep the business?

I made these cookies last night (well, I guess technically I didn't make them, OK?) so I heated up these cookies last night in the oven. I don't know what I did differently, but for some reason they just were not as good as the ones my girlfriend made just three nights ago.

I dont get it. They were the same brand, they were even from the same package! Is it just because she made them that creates an illusion that they taste better? I don't know ... maybe i left them in too long ...

This past week, I had some electrical trouble with my Toyota Supra, Twin Turbo (oh yeah). So instead of hiring a professional electrician, or even a mechanic who works on cars, I decided to tackle the problem myself!

After all, I'm a guy. I have too much pride and self-confidence to pay someone to do such a little task. Or was it stupidity?

Well, I did get the job done, but it was probably three times as long as it would have taken a pro. And he probably would have blown 12 fuses and got shocked three times. Oh well, learned my lesson, LOL.

Another beautiful day! The sun is shining, grass is green, and the birds are chirping. This is usually my cue to head to the lake or to a beach. The good thing about the valley is that we can take short drive and be at a nice lake. Take a little longer drive and we can be at the ocean.

It is really a different world down there. When I was in Hawaii I went snorkeling three times at various beaches. I even swam with sea turtles, LOL. It was pretty intense. The fish were so colorful. It made me wish I were a dolphin. Just swim and play all day. Not a bad life...

Wish all of you could have came with me. A good friend of mine was getting married, so I went to Hawaii for the wedding. Needless to say, it was beautiful. I went from normal-colored sand beaches to white sand, to green sand, and even black sand! It was amazing. I'm not gonna lie, I got slammed by a few of those big waves out there, LOL. There is even a door where we can get pizza deliveries, LOL.

We are still on the lookout for a good Garage Cinema couch. Ours was lost in a tragic Garage Cinema event. It was ... well ... actually ... I don't know where it went, LOL. Let us know if you or anyone you know has a couch in mind for us.

I swear it's a workout. Even the mini-games that it comes with are exciting. There is tennis, bowling, boxing, golf, and baseball. I was playing against some friends, and the way that this game console is designed, you have to interact with it, so let's just say we were working up a sweat, LOL. It is crazy how much games have evolved in the last few years.

I also enjoy playing the online games on Xbox 360. It's pretty cool playing with and against people you don't even know.

It's tough though because anyone who has an older car knows that if you drive them, you're going to have to work on them at some point. This car I restored myself (well, I had some help, LOL). I started on it when I was just 17 and to be honest it still isn't completely finished. I don't think it will ever be completely finished, LOL. There is always something I can do to improve it or change something. If you have any old cars, I would like to see some pictures. We'll get them posted on the site.

I know what you are thinking. "Who eats yams?" LOL. It's true. You wouldn't think a person could actually live off selling yams, but I have been running this business for four years now, and I sold yams for another company before that for four years as well.

That's a lotta yams, huh?

Thursday, February 22 - 3:51 p.m.

Hello everyone,

I just put my house on the market. I am going to sell this one, hopefully, and get into another house in a different neighborhood. It's time for a change. I like to move every two years, at least at this point in life.

Who knows what's going to happen later in life when I have a family. It would be a lot harder to move that often with a wife and kids running around. Well, I mean the kids running around. Not the wife. LOL.

Wednesday, February 21 - 5:32 p.m.

So, I was out at this club dancing last weekend and this lady stepped on my foot with the point of her high-heeled thinga-ma-bob ... and it hurt! LOL.

So my message to you is, "Ladies, please be careful when out with a concealed weapon." ;-)

Tuesday, February 13 - 11:52 p.m.

So, this is officially the first blog from me as a host for My58. Let me tell ya, it as been an awesome experience working with My58. All of the staff at My58 have been wonderful to work with and socialize with. As you can tell on TV and on the Internet, Kelly is very fun and wonderful person. We have such a good time working with each other. It is like one big happy family. And if you are wondering, no, they did not make me say all that, LOL. This has to be one of the funnest experiences I have ever had. I definitely recommend applying for the next My58 Host Hunt when it comes around.
